28 Lime Street

Understated elegance  in London's financial hub

At 28 Lime Street, we created an elegant, typographic solution and utilised both traditional materials and traditional methods, to produce the external and internal signage for the building. The exterior street number was manufactured in solid bronze, and we commissioned traditional signwriting to refurbish the old school projecting sign and to create internal directional signs, including a directory and individual floor signs. Upon completion, we also assisted one of the new tenants ‘Talan’, to install internal graphics to privatise, segment and improve the internal layout of their office floor.

Inspiration and Impact

In addition to the signage and branding of the building, CiD were responsible for the PDF brochure to market the offices floors, and for commissioning the video walkthrough of the building with Beeston Media. Inspired by the architectural detailing of the listed façade, we created a line drawing of the arched windows and sills that was used as a background on the brochure cover and its internal pages to give a qualitative look and feel.

The deep stylish green of the reception interior was also included in the brochure and complimented by the used of gold, elevated the design to successfully capture the ambiance of the icon location, in the heart of London’s insurance district.
