Moving, modern sophistication

Share

197 Kensington High Street (KHS) is a new, managed headquarters-style building providing over 4,446 sq ft of state-of-the-art office space over four floors, in the heart of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and includes 2,000 sq ft of retail space on the ground and basement floors. CiD working for LM Stern and Copthall Estates were commissioned to design and produced the marketing materials and signage for the building to capture and extend the modern sophistication of the new build architecture and interior fitout.

Elevated branding

In order to elevate the identity and unite the creative graphics across all the marketing materials under a recognisable theme, CiD introduced a intricate pattern, translated from and drawing on the brickwork detail of the exterior; we incorporated this within our designs for both the retail and office brochures and included it in the contravision and on the website design. In addition to the signage, marketing materials and website we created CGIs of the exterior and floor plans and space planning options for the offices.

An irreverent stylish solution

CiD designed an innovative rail system for the directory and directionals providing an irreverent stylish solution to signing and wayfinding to the reception and four office floors. Sleek, sophisticated and easy to read, this system is designed to be both aesthetically pleasing and highly functional. To complete the look and feel, we commissioned large, cast-bronze, qualitative numerals, identifying each floor.

Movement and drama

The identity and colour scheme adopted for 197 were a direct reflection of the building and we carried them through to the website, where we also include a five frame gif of the exterior to create a sense of movement and drama. The website is a simple clean user friendly, Wordpress solution that provides all key information and links to download both the office and retail brochures.
