Britain’s most expensive country estate

Hackwood Park near Basingstoke, in Hampshire, boasts 24 bedrooms, 30 bathrooms and 260 acres of grounds. Built in 1680, the mansion is more than 50 times the size of the average family home and has two gatehouses. Christie’s International Real Estate commissioned CiD to create both the teaser and host brochures for the property and to develop the family crest, to be featured on the covers.

An elaborate gate fold

Working closely with Christie's International Real Estate, CiD retouched and improved the dramatic images of the grounds and interiors – retouching lawns, correcting fixtures and fittings and arranging the layouts to capture the quality of the property and the vast size of the estate. To reflect the lavish, formal, symmetrical entrance and classical façade. CiD took the opportunity to reproduce this view as an expansive double gate-fold spread within the host brochure.

Art Direction

Working closely with Christie's International Real Estate, CiD polished the exorbitant photography; retouching lawns, correcting fixtures and fittings and arranging the layouts in a way that gives quick understanding of the estate, considering its substantial size.
